battleROYAL’s spectacular production for MADSACK’s 125th anniversary in Hannover has been nominated for the esteemed German Design Award 2019. We are thrilled and honoured to have once again been nominated in the category Event after receiving last year’s award for the work on the Aarhus 2017 European Capital of Culture Opening Ceremony.

Our nominated event featured advanced mapping technology and stunning video design for a unique immersive experience in celebration of MADSACK and Hannover. 50,000 spectators gathered in the heart of the city to witness the Anzeiger Hochhaus become an interactive canvas integrating vertical dancers, live opera, musicians, and dancers.

battleROYAL teamed up with Steve Jackson, Green Hippo to develop and implement a brand new infrared  tracking system using high-performance servers to project onto the building’s 50 x 30 metre facade.
