For the second time battleROYAL has been awarded by the German Design Council. For our spectacular production of the MADSACK 125th anniversary in Hannover battleROYAL received a special mention in the highly competitive category of ‘Event’. 

battleROYAL conceived and designed a featured IR tracking component which became an integral storytelling element in the show. Advanced infrared tracking enabled exact interactions between the performers and the live-generated video content. On the 50 x 30 metre facade of the famous Anzeiger Hochhaus the system was one of the Germany’s largest to date and developed and executed by a leading international team with technical support from Steve Jackson, Green Hippo (UK), Tenfeet (NL) and our trusted partner VenCo AG (D).

The German Design Award is the international premier prize awarded by the German Design Council with the goal to discover, present, and honour unique trends in design.
