FOOTFBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP 2015

OPENING CEREMONY

The Opening Ceremony for Gazprom’s “Football for Friendship” program was a 12-week collaboration between Berlin and Moscow. Young football players from 24 different countries participated in the performance which was produced and directed by Battle Royal Studios. Staged on the UEFA fan-mile a mini football stadium was constructed at the foot of the Brandenburg Gate. VIP guests including Franz Beckenbauer, Julian Draxler, and Fabian Giefer joined 50 dancers and musicians for a colourful kick-off performance.
